WHAT YOU NEED TO CROCHET FLOWER
Thisfree patternisagreat wayto start your crochet journey, as not much is needed to create a beautifulsmall flower. All you need issmall amounts of yarn, a crochet hook, a tapestry needle, and scissors. Thiseasy crochet projectis theperfect wayto use up yourscrap yarnleftover from other projects.
I usedyarn scrap as this pattern only utilizes a small amount of yarn. For the tools, I used a crochet hook of 2.25 mm for my sport weight yarn and a tapestry needle. Generally, asmaller hookworks best for thinner weights of yarn. Furthermore, lighter or thinner yarn produces asmaller flower, whereas thicker yarns make alarger flower.

DECORATING WITH CROCHET FLOWERS
Theseteeny tiny flowersmake theperfect embellishmentfor almost anything. They are great to put onto many things apart from those I have made here. You can makecute flowersofdifferent sizes and place them together to make a bouquet. Besides pasting thecrochet flower bouqueton a photo frame, I recommend pinning them on bags, crochet hats, notebook covers to spice up these everyday items.Furthermore, you may link multiple flowers together to make a flower garland for your amigurumi stuffed animals as I did here, or for the cute fur friends in your life.

Makecrochet leavesand butterflies along with thiseasy flower applique. A fun way to utilize these designs would be to make a card for mommies for the upcomingmother’s day or a greeting card for any occasion. Also, instead of clothespins & hair clips, what about making them for hair bands, earrings, necklace pendants, and rings? Not to mention the flower brooch, there are so many ways to use it, andnew ideasare regularly popping up in my mind.

Hair clips are my daughter’s favorite, so I made a pair of flower + butterfly hairclip for her. I think the next things she would want from my crafty hands are earrings and a hairband🙂

Additionally, you may construct multiplebig crochet flowersof yourfavorite colorsto put in a vase on yourcoffee tableor gift it to a friend as a graduation bouquet to celebrate their successful endeavors. These are great as gifts as they carry the sentiment ofreal flowerswithout the hassle of caring for them. Another plus point is that they do not containany pollen, which makes them safe for those who are allergic to fresh flowers. On top of that, this flower lasts forever (sparing the receiver the sadness of seeing the flowers wilt) and will remain beautiful for as long as you keep them dust-free.

The crochet apples definitely look prettier and kawaii with the crochet flowers attached to them as embellishments. Not only that an apple a day keep the doctors away, this cute crochet apple will chase your worries away too.
